The entire workforce at Wintergreen have undergone rigorous Health and Safety training with all supervisors holding NVQ Level II and Level III in Horticulture as a minimum, with mandatory ‘Monitoring and Maintaining Health and Safety’.
Wintergreen ensures that significant risks are assessed and suitable measures are adopted to allow each employee to carry out their duties safely and without risk to health. Suitable equipment is provided and maintained in a safe condition, and safe systems of work are devised and adhered to.
Wintergreen operates a strict Uniform & PPE policy for our personnel, so they are instantly recognisable and safe at all times.
Wintergreen strives to achieve continuous improvement in Health & Safety culture and performance. We maintain an ethos of safe working practices in all elements of work, and have achieved the high standards in health and safety as required for ‘SafeContractor’ accreditation.
The Disclosure and Barring Service
All Wintergreen staff have undergone ‘The Disclosure and Barring Service’ personnel checks as required for access to schools, oil refineries, military and other sensitive sites.
